Uncheck Use HTTPS connection.
This is normally used for connecting to another remote server.

Try setting
You could be running out of resources. Try lowering the Items to process per page: amount.

What ES version? How much total ram and Java ram? What does
[root@server ~]# top -o RES show? (Centos, Almalinx)

I'm not sure what that is. I'm as novice as a novice can be. Command Line Instructions? What instructions would I feed it?

Go to your server terminal
cd / navigate to the XF root
Enter the command
php cmd.php xf-rebuild:search

Well, you have plenty of Java ram dedicated to ES (15.0g). Definitely try CLI..
