I am using cloudflare on my site and it seems to be working ok, but I am seeing various posts about needing to make config.php changes to support it. Is this information still accurate or does xenforo support CF out the box now?
I simply changed the DNS on Cloudflare and didn't do anything else. I've done this on two forums, and everything seems to be working fine.
Alternatively, there's a specific component, but I prefer to install as few components as possible.
As far as I'm aware there's nothing that needs to be done in XF itself to work with Cloudflare. Everything is already handled in XF out of the box. I've been using it on my sites for years and I've never changed anything in my config file. If you're new to Cloudflare, or struggle to find specific settings, I'd recommend installing the following add-on by @digitalpoint:
Features
Everything is available from within XenForo (you do not need to go to Cloudflare for things) via the Cloudflare API. This allows you give admins permission to do certain things (for example block IP addresses within Cloudflare without giving them access to your Cloudflare account).
It simplifies/automates much of the configuration and usage of Cloudflare with XenForo.
Manage all Cloudflare settings/options for your zone...
Cloudflare runs pretty smoothly out of the box. Over the years, they have simplified it more and more. I think the only thing you have to watch out for is to make sure that Rocket Loader is not enabled; it does not play well with Xenforo.
Yea, they were all off topic. BUT, you changed your permissions so no one can see your board unless they register...
Still nothing... I'm not chastising your forum but you comment on so many others with your site having very little traffic.
I wish you nothing but good luck and good wishes so that you get some traffic...
