is it possible to perform search from XenForo, but include search results from external php/mysql web app?
Any API calls or Add-ons available for that?

There is an add-on that allows use of Google for the search... so if an add-on can do that, I'm sure an add-on can be developed to do what you request. But I don't think there is specifically an open ended add-on currently that allows that.
