Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

Thanks for the tip. My server's bot said to replace my code with this .............. for current Litespeed. Which I guess is the same as your "newer" apache code.

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

I think you're correct though - the version I have is for older apache and the first (newer) version you posted I should be using for Litespeed apparently. So does that mean my old syntax won't work properly?

I'm on Litespeed but it worked for me.

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

The Cloudflare app will show the IP's and country as well so you don't have to look them up.

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

I think you have to be a bit careful with bot settings in Cloudflare though - some can cause other issues apparently.

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

Probably Bytedance or Bytespider if Singapore. That's why blocking them in .htaccess works quite well.

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

With the Cloudflare app installed there are all kinds of goodies and extras - it shows which country the bots are from Likewise with guests There are also other addons people use to reduce bot crawling - someone else might have a tip there, or you might need to start a new thread about bots.

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

The Cloudflare app helps with seeing where they are from.

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

How many bots crawling at any one time? You won't get rid of them completely, but if it's thousands, some of the above might help.

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

As well as this in ht.access, I have this for robots.txt (If you don't already have robots.txt). Both might help. User-agent: AspiegelBot Disallow: / User-agent: AhrefsBot Disallow: / User-agent: SemrushBot Disallow: / User-agent: DotBot Disallow: / User-agent: MauiBot Disallow: /...

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

Do you have a robots.txt? Also, with some help on here, I added this to the end of ht.access: Which should help BrowserMatchNoCase "Bytedance" bad_bot BrowserMatchNoCase "Bytespider" bad_bot BrowserMatchNoCase "Baiduspider" bad_bot BrowserMatchNoCase "BIDUBrowser" bad_bot Order...

Only if they try and register. It will help in that way and reduce spam a lot. Bots crawling the site is something else.

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

Yes it's working and will help prevent fake registrations, but you need something else for bots. Others might know. There is Ozmodz spaminator which I have but there are other options as well. The Spaminator is for registration as well though, not for crawling...

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

Have you checked if it's working? Use a private window and go to sign up as if you're a guest. You don't actually have to sign up - just look at the registratation window and see if a green tick appears where it says "Verification required". If a green tick appears then Cloudflare is working...

Installing/Setting Up CloudFlare Turnstile for Xenforo

That should work, but honestly the Xenforo Cloudflare app is brilliant - makes it all a lot simpler. I've been using it quite a while and no issues at all.
